Fishy looking Sienkiewicz & Epting Batman/Joker on ebay 0

This is ending today on ebay.

Something just doesn't seem right with it. The main image shown is just the print signed by Sienkiewicz (which I also have one of) and the second image is of him drawing the image. Again, something just doesn't seem right. I highly doubt that the winner will get the original art but instead just the signed print.

Send a message to the seller asking if he's selling the original sketch, or a just print of the sketch (which is depicted in the photos), signed by BS. Also, ask for a hi res scan or photo of the original sketch, which should not have the large red BS signature on it.

Listing says "Original", but it does look like a print.  Why would he (BS) sign it twice?  Once in pen and once in Red Sharpie. 

Killer Joker in any case.  I wouldn't bid on it though.

Yeah, it looks like the second image has been photoshopped to try and make it look like he has an image of Sienkiewicz working on the art, but I'm guessing it's actually an image of Sienkiewicz working on something else.

The images of Sienk sketching and the other photo in the auction don't match. 

Notice the right edge. On the piece he's supposedly sketching at the table the Joker's foot and jacket are touching the right edge of the paper. In the other photo he posted there's at least an inch of space between the edge of the coat and feet and the edge of the paper. 

 

Also that's a bad photoshop job on the convention sketching. If you blow it up you can see the paper doesn't line up with his fingers well. There's a halo, and he's not actually holding the paper down.

I find it is best to avoid anything except for published art on eBay. Even then, you should be careful.
