Wonder if the buyer noticed the staples appear printed on the back cover, but there are no holes on inside.

This is the same seller who was reselling ECs with original mailer envelopes - but destroyed the envelopes by whiting out the names

Does a repro cover even one without the staples faux pas go for that much?  The buyer left positive feedback for it.

Probably because they were all reproductions as well.

I guess it does if you don't tell buyers it's a repro, and hope they don't notice when they receive it.

the covers look like repros but the book doesn't. you can see where he moved the staples on the centerfold pic... i feel sorry for the winner(s).

Those are clearly coverless copies with repro covers. The sad thing is that I think there'd be a market for them, properly disclosed. But this guy goes for the extra $ through the sin of omission in his descriptions.

Otherwise known as scamming. You'd think that potential buyers would notice, as the covers are so unnaturally new looking and don't even fit the interiors, but sadly as positive feedback attests, one doesn't even have to try that hard to successfully scam people on ebay.
