Meetups sounds more like craiglist to me. I go to local comic stores when I can though. I'm glad you feel comfortable with that. Having a long standing seller history is also a solid defense for chargeback/not-received claims. I was sent an empty box once but that seller had very few feedbacks and I missed the red flags I should have checked for back then because I did not know how to look for them, If you feel like it's risky there's always another seller with hundreds of positve feedbacks on ebay selling the same book sooner or later. Seems like all their money is going into Marketing these days and adding video ads to the bottom of auction pages (annoying and makes my screen jump). I mostly buy but I did sell stuff (mostly other stuff than comics). I don't know how to sell a comic on the boards but I'd like to try it.Is there a how to for first timers? I recently sold a set of books at one of my favorite local comic shops and made just as much as I would have on ebay when only getting 60% of the sale.(made me super happy). You can sell in the marketplace. There are forums for Modern/Copper and for Bronze/Silver/Golden. The seller's name didn't pop up in the eBay thread, but the fact that it's a big book at a currently low price makes me leery. The fact that it only has 10 bids, of which 4 are from the same user makes me curious if someone is shill bidding just to get the price up. I sent a message asking if the book was restored and was told by the seller that it wasn't, but it's always best to be cautious. So what say the community?
