The actor is fresh off appearing in Regina King's One Night in Miami and Leigh Whannell's The Invisible Man. He is expected to portray the Carter Hall version of Hawkman from DC Comics. As no matter previous conflicts over WB/DC productions, he just seems to bring the positive vibes to anything he gets involved in. I was thinking the same thing! Along with Ryan Reynolds, they both know how to promote the things they are doing. In addition to Johnson, the movie stars Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate. This means Black Adam has assembled quite the character list, including some key members of the Justice Society of America. Though the release of Black Adam is over a year away at this point, anticipation for the film is already quite high. Recently comments by Black Adam producer Dany Garcia should make people even more excited about the character's future in the DC Extended Universe. Speaking with Variety, Garcia wouldn't say exactly how many Black Adam movies are planned as of now. However, she did suggest the character will be around for awhile: "We want to do many [films].
