Very nice! I remember seeing the cover to Veronica #2 (in Africa) out on eBay some years back, but I can't recall if it was sold. The asked price was in my opinion rather steep (but today I might reconsider). I have been lucky enough to be able to acquire page 2 from that particular issue, though (inks by Hy Eisman):

Veronica's hair looks a little longer than usual? I like that Dan bothered to make her wear a hairband with a pattern  matching the african environment...

Here are two pinup-pages from Cheryl Blossom #16, both from the drawing board of Dan:

Dan Parent - Cheryl Blossom #16 - p23 Comic Art

Dan Parent - Cheryl Blossom #16 - p26 Comic Art

Conversation with Dan at San Diego Comic Con:
Dan: Cheryl is not a nice person.
Me: She's kind to her dog!
Dan: But besides that she's not supposed to have any redeeming qualities at all!

Sweet Cherry Blossom pin-ups!

Oooh, this is a beauty, and very close to my favorite period.  There is just something about the way DeCarlo drew Betty and Veronica around this time.  So good.

AND I should also point out that Patriot6, Cliff R and OdinsSecrets are responsible for this recent purchase....in a recent gold and silver sales thread, I offered one SA issue of B&V, leading immediately to the aforementioned Usual (Archie) Suspects asking if any more were coming....the answer was actually No, but rather than give it, I scoured my boxes and found a few late bronze/early copper Cheryl Blossom appearances, so I offered them.

In trying to figure out how much to ask for an Everything's Archie #113, I stumbled across this, half the art from the "Archie the Barbarian" story in that issue. I really wanted page 4, but I figured what the heck. Thanks guys! (I even mean it!)

Oct 1996, Betty And Veronica #104, Pages #1-5, (complete story), Dan DeCarlo pencils/Alison Flood inks, "The Hit Man", a complete all-beach B & V story.

Betty and Veronica turn Archie the nerd into a guy that hits on every girl he sees on the beach!,

Complete stories are always a treat and surprisingly there seems to be quite a few of them around. I count seven by Dan DeCarlo in my own collection (and some more by Bill Galvan & Dan Parent as well) which I may get around to post later.

But now I'd like to highlight a few of the commissions I have collected over the years. The modern Archie artists have so far been happy to oblige and realize my somewhat crazy ideas.Jeff Shultz - Archie Graffiti - color version Comic Art
"Archie Graffiti", a hommage to Mort Drucker by Jeff Shultz with colors by Hedvig Haggman-Sund. "Where were YOU in '62?"

I you click on the pictures you will be redirected to the images on CAf where I have described the process from idea to finished commission more in depth.

(I may not be able to refrain from posting more commissions in the future.)

@Caltex98 I've seen a few of these images in the Archie Comic Fans Facebook group. The second b&w Sabrina page is being used as the banner image. Are you an admin of that page?

No, the main admin is Adam Alamo, I think. I mostly lurk in that group, but Adam is following my twitter account and I think he picked up the Sabrina/Elvira image there when I tweeted it on this years halloween.

An Archie artist I think sometimes gets overlooked is Rex W. Lindsey. A Kubert School graduate he did more than a hundred issues of Jughead where he was the primary artist working with writer Craig Boldman.  I have a soft spot for his very detailed pinup-pages. Here are a few examples:

And last, my personal favorite where Rex admits being inspired by Norman Rockwell:

My very first through-the-mail art purchase was from Dan Parent way back in the 1990s when he'd run those 3 pages for $25 sales in the classifieds in Comics Buyer's Guide and I was buying covers from him, then, for $50 each. I've still got all those random pages and a friendship with Dan from all those years ago. He even drew me and my wife into the lead story in Veronica 155. (That is officially my first appearance in a cameo in a comic. We later made our full first appearance in the Jonah Hex: No Way Back graphic novel. Both appearances SHOULD be worth a fortune.)

I picked up this Stan Goldberg cover for Betty And Me #200.  It came all double-matted and lovingly framed, doubtful about archival, but it tugged at my nostalgia heartstrings.  My access to comic books was limited, to be generous, as a youth.  Harvey and Archie.  Still catching up!  Best, David S. Albright

Congrats for the Betty and Me cover mate.

Thanks for sharing :)
