You can like the place and spend time here obviously. But muddying the waters in the holiday thread might not be the best way to do something nice.

This probably doesn't need to be stated, but I will anyway... No one participating in the Holiday Gift Exchange will be left behind. We already have a TON of members who have graciously volunteered to be back-up Santas if the need arises and, over the next days, as more eligible members sign-up, we will have a TON more.

My suggestion for those who are ineligible, be they newer members of our great community, older members who are choosing to not participate on their own, or those who cannot participate for one reason or the other, would be to contact a charitable location near you and donate accordingly in the name of the CGC Chat Boards Holiday Gift Exchange

For what it's worth, this encompasses the true nature of Christmas and isn't this Christmas thread about sharing the spirit and helping one another enjoy the holidays? Isn't Christmas about caring for all, fortunate or unfortunate? I'm sorry that you are unable to participate, but I for one applaud your Christmas spirit :)

It's a nice thought, Chip. Why don't you follow Holly's suggestion? I'm sure there are some children that would really appreciate the gifts, probably even more than any of the adults here would. That certainly would be a way for you to "do something nice", and it's the thought after all.

Since I spammed Solar Boy's thread and started a trend, I'll spam this one to let everyone here know that @DR.Xis feverishly working on his contest, so we will have 3! wonderful traditions to participate in this season.
