Let’s give this a whirl.  Show us *anything comics-related* you’d like to share, a la the old elementary school days.  Could be a pic with a creator hero, a hard Golden Age find, posters, a freakin’ Happy Meal toy, your full Modern run of _____ ... anything.

To start us off, my CAF (ComicArtFans) page with 14 pieces of OA and counting.  Heavy on Venom, a favorite since childhood - http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=185730

Matt Baker, the timeless master.  Mentioned him to Neal Adams once at a con and got a grudging look of respect.

Bagley cover... X-23 doing what she does best.

Acquired this just the other day!   Bagley Venom pages are too hard to find.  Probably would’ve been beaten to this had there not been a typo in the ebay listing.

Would love to see more Siqueira Venom in the coming months.  Delicious. From Venom #154, the most “thinking man’s Venom” book I’ve read to date.  Recalls McFarlane (no tongue!), but with his own touch.  Happy to have haggled these down.

Last but not least, Francavilla.  Also notoriously tough to find any OA by him outside of the occasional commission.  Helped revive the Archie franchise with Afterlife, and draws a mean R2.

I was wearing a backpack last April, and bubble wrapped this sucker for jae lee to sign. As I didn't want to take the time to get the "box" pack and unpack. I get it signed, bubble wrap again, put it in the old backpack and later I hear crunch. To further embarrass myself, I went to show him when he wasn't busy the next day. lol

I went to a Twinkies game with some of my family. I wasn't overly excited as I didn't follow the team, but found out at the start that the Todd McFarlane would be there showing off his baseball collection.

@Myparentsbasement ya I have an old spawn wizard mag that I read that McFarlane played minor league baseball but hurt his ankle sliding into a base. Then he fell back on his artistic talent. I remember an old thread here that hinted he might actually have made it onto a baseball card...good times.

Speaking of Jim Mooney...

One of my favorite GA Tec’s. It was love at first sight with this book.  Had the pleasure of buying it from Bunky Brian.

Here’s a couple interior pics of the most memorable part of the story for me: Batman and Robin battling the Pied Piper and his goons on a giant organ. Cheesy lines ensue. :x

Back in 96 we were having breakfast at a local Denny's.

When we were leaving I happen to look over at the newspaper box outside of the restaurant and saw this...

I was flabbergasted, had no idea and have kept this newspaper as part of my comic collection since it is a part of comic history.

The painting displayed below (in between the action figures) was done freehand on a canvas (oils/water colors???) by a guy I used to work with.

He was into comics as I was/am and we went to a couple of local cons together, went traveling around to all of the local comic shops a few times, etc.

Back in 98/99 (???) he left the dealership where we were working and I did not hear from him for the next year or so.

Then one day I came home from work and this painting was outside my door with a note that read "he was leaving town (no explanation given) and could not take anything with him and he was giving me this painting because he knew I was the only one that would appreciate it."

Have not seen or heard from him since.
