Hi, I was just looking at a nice comic and a piece of tape accidentally got stuck and when I pulled it some of the cover ripped off.

I applaud your confession!

For the last year now, when I tape bags, I fold the piece of tape slightly on the bottom onto itself, so there's a little tab that makes it easier to lift off. More importantly, it makes it much easier to lift and pull the entire piece of tape in one motion off the bag every time I want to open it.

With normal taping, I would often open by getting a finger under the flap (so opening middle-to-bottom), and that extra step of having to lift the tape off the whole bag made me "greedy" to try and just leave the tape on and pull the comic out carefully.
