jevlnuts
So these four books ended up in my collection recently. Underground comics is definitely not my area of expertise and I was wondering if anybody had any information these items. Im really looking for any insight as I enjoy learning the history of different comics and independent publications. I do not believe these items are particularly valuable but who knows, maybe they are worth keeping around for a while. Thanks for the info. namisgr
That's a diverse group. The first has great Richard Corben art, and is from volume 2 of the title from the early eighties - the original 'Death Rattle' also features terrific Corben art and is from the early seventies. The second book appears to be a modern. The third is from the underground heyday and is by Justin Green, and from the 75 cent sticker may be a later printing or a repriced first printing of a book originally published in '72. The bottom book with the Lee Marrs cover art and the fifty cent cover price was published in '73. There's a thread devoted to underground comix here on the boards with some highly knowledgeable posters, where you could probably learn more about these books. I suspect, though, that none are rare and the bottom two have a bit of wear, so don't get your hopes raised too much about their resale value. Thanks for the info, I originally tried to find a thread specifically for underground books and didnt find anything. Probably just overlooked, I will find it and repost there. Like I said originally, the value really isnt that important to me, just curious more than anything. Thanks for the insight, appreciate you taking the time. People have been a huge help to me there in figuring out which version I had of some books.

the blob
I don't think of the first two as undergrounds. At that point they are indie/small press, heck, kitchen sink wasn't even that small
