I put in my guesses for all the Curt Swans and the He-Man promo. That Swan is a tough nut to crack with all the different inkers. That Superman 267 page sold in November for $2,035 and yet it's sitting right now at $195. Gulp.

Below is what I wrote a week or so ago, but I thought it got lost and yet here it is.

Well, I got brutalized once again this week landing in last place with 6 guesses. There are quite a bit of Curt Swan comps to make an educated guess. If Murphy Anderson wasn't the inker, a Swan page could cost you anywhere between $200-$399, so I erred on the more rather than the less. The hammer dropped on the less, way less. It was a New Year's sale in the Curt Swan market. Even that Swanderson that sold in late 2016 ended at under a grand. Ouch. The He-Man page performed well, but not as well as its predecessor, although I thought it was the better page (but what do I know?). On that note, the Super Powers promo mini-comic page with Kalibak and Darkseid that just ended on eBay hammered at $595 + shipping. Pretty strong price. Shoutout to @BCarter27 for landing 2nd place with a whopping 13 guesses.

That said, are there no pre-auction guesses for this week? Is this thread dead?

I forgot to do it this week, I was quite busy with my 4yo daughter being sick!

But even if I don't "officially" launch a new session, feel free to do it yourself: just add "/guess" at the end of the auction address. For instance http://comicarttracker.com/en/heritage-auctions/2018-02-02 becomes http://comicarttracker.com/en/heritage-auctions/2018-02-02/guess

Let it be the next official pre-auction guesses session :)

Thank you for this, Nico! The only reason that I brought it up is because you wondered if this was really an interest to others. I agree with @BCarter27 in that this was voting week for CAF's Best of 2017 so it may not have been the best week to put in guesses. And of course, sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope she feels better soon. I have two little ones younger than yours, so I feel your pain. There's also a bad flu going around stateside. Well, until next week.

I just put in my guesses. It doesn't seem anyone has so I just might place first by default :wishluck:

Thanks :)  I also put 6-7 guesses on Heritage 02/02 a few days ago. You can see all art with guesses by filtering "guesses"=yes. You can also see all items with guesses but not yours with filter "guesses"=others.

So, can you include a help button on Comic Art Tracker? I'm trying to figure out why I type in one artist, and the results include others, too.

Building a FAQ / help section is important, but I did not find time to do it yet... there's always something more important (and more fun to do ^^). In the meantime, feel free to send me a message with your search query, the results you don't understand, etc. :)

Question to follow. There may be a bug in your eBay scraping.

Don't forget to put in your guesses for this Heritage auction:

http://comicarttracker.com/en/heritage-auctions/2018-02-23/guess

http://comicarttracker.com/en/heritage-auctions/2018-02-24/guess

We already have 74 items with at least one guess, but it would be really interesting to have more players!
Use top-right filters to see all art with existing guesses, and don't forget to click on "save my guesses". :nyah:
