I will be exhibiting some of my original comic art collection at the Paul Robeson Center at the Arts Council of Princeton in NJ , Jan. 13th - March 10th, with an opening reception Jan. 3rd ,3-5pm. My collection of silver age artists is bigger than some but certainly not as big as some of my friends on this board but it does have some gems . I'll also be offering a lecture"Fine Art ,Comics and the Narrative Image" Jan.20th,1-2:30pm. If you are in the NY/NJ area I hope you will drop in.

The Arts Council of Princeton is a struggling nonprofit with limited funds for advertising so I would appreciate it if any board members would forward this information to any other websites or chat rooms that might have an interest .Any other ideas for advertising this event would also be appreciated. You can get more info here: http://artscouncilofprinceton.org/exhibit/heroes-of-comic-arts/

Here's some of what will be on display. I don't have to tell you guys who the artists are.

The "Heroes of Comic Art " opening reception last weekend and it was huge success .It was great to see so many turn out for this event .Sometimes I feel that most folks don't care about this great art that we all enjoy but receptions like yesterday are encouraging.

Check out these photos and if you are in the NY/NJ area try to stop by as it is well worth your time and effort! http://artscouncilofprinceton.org/exhibit/heroes-of-comic-arts/

This looks amazing.  I need to take a trip down there to check it out, as much as I loathe the other side of the Raritan lol.  I love the Galactus/Silver Surfer art on the pop up.  That was a poster in the 80s right?

That's right Jaybuck,That poster has been around for a while .I think they reissued it recently. That would be great if you ventured across the river to Princeton .You could check out the show and, if you were inclined ,you could visit the Princeton University Art Museum two blocks up the street. There is also some great restaurants and the Princeton Record Exchange which is one of the few places where you can still get a great variety of used CDs and Vinyls, all in walking distance.
