The whole concept seems rather "head in the sand"ish to me.  We all know these books exist.  Hell, most of us probably own some.  Probably not the proper venue for hashing it out, but a policy worth examining further, in my opinion.

This is why I’d think that chopping the label off in such a post would be reasonable. Celebrate the book and win while respecting the venue by not providing any publicity to the competition.

Thanks. I've been suspecting for a while now that the PreHeroMarvel genre has cooled off a bit, allowing us still collecting to get some good buys. I think it has coincided with the rush to all things GA, with emphasis on PCH. Just cycles, running their course. It's fine with me, I'll still buy the things I like and not necessarily chase the cycle. It's about collecting, not investing !

Exactly, it's totally reasonable.  As we say - buy the book, not the label!

I've wanted a 9.8 copy of this book for a while. I put in a "win at all costs" bid just to save me another two year or whatever of waiting to see one for sale. I'll take it for $60!

It may sound reasonable for this thread, but it might open the doors for other threads. Debates might start for doing this in other General threads, the Spare a Grade thread, Signature Room, Comic Market Advertising, and ultimately the Comic Market For Sale thread. Probably best to leave it out entirely. (Just my  and sorry to be off topic)

Love this title and have always wanted a graded #1. Picked it up at a fair price for a bid I frankly forgot about, and it helps cut the per book shipping from my other win.

Cool pickup ! I loved that series. The whole Dire Wraith angle gave it a much darker mood than I expected from a book about a toy and a little girl.
