I bid $1201 for Strange Adventures 110 CGC 8.5

It sold for $1301.

I had a 1200 bid before you had the 1201 = you guessed right and outbid me by 1.00 . Didn't matter as the 1301 came in late and beat us both. I actually thought the book would do better. If you didn't see it, you might have been disappointed with the Back Cover, overspray.  It kept me from bidding higher.

So many high grade books (9.0 - 9.4) copies going for grading cost.  From a collectors stand point I'd think these auctions would be great.

Almost got pulled into this auction when I saw a Forever People 1 CGC 9.6 at a low price 1 minute before closing.  Price jumped up to $900 right when I was bidding so I'm still out.  Can't believe I forgot about the auction early on and missed out on bidding on the FF Annual 6 CGC 9.0 - I would have bid one step more.

congrats! if i had had the funds right now i would have been competing with you for that JIM83. dont see white pages that often and it presents well for the grade.

This looks nice! How come this only has credits listed for art, and not story/cover?

Have you tried to read these Silver-Age DCs?  You wouldn't want your name associated with it it either.

lol After being a Marvel zombie for too many years, I really appreciate the self-contained stories in SA DC.

tough Metamorpho #16 but i wouldn't go higher due the Mannarino oven effect.  did pick up the Metal Men #34 9.4 for a fair price; oddly, it was 65% less than a book in the same grade sold for in the April Clink auction (shrug)
