Only monetarily.

He was available, working in the Marvel offices he could easily turn out work on extremely short deadlines.

Bob Layton has said the same about why he was given so many covers in the 80’s, he lived right near the offices.

We're ignorant and uneducated Ken! I do like these under the table insults. Well, not literally because I'm out of them. Will he go for the hat-trick I wonder?

I wasn’t calling his opinion ignorant and uneducated, he’s actually read the issue so he understands the context of the  cover.

Never liked this cover.

What's that! :whatthe:

What is the artist going for here!? "Look at my massive green pouch"

It's bordering on obscene!

Where's his blooody forehead!

He has the same hairdo as Superman does in the cover with Wonder Woman though.

Jae Lee drew that.  I wonder what he thinks of that cover?

Yay,  I've got likes back! :headbang:

I'd 'like' to know where the hell that arm is coming from around Hulks waist on this cover.

Drives me bananarama.

  • It's been much too dry and intellectual, and could do with an infusion of random drivel. I'll get to work.

Never liked this cover.

Jae Lee's first,  after a number of great issues with John Byrne art. Incredible to believe that this was a hot comic, just a short time after being published, by a then largely unknown artist.

Out of interest,  who were the Sons of Serpent, and why were they on strike? Was fighting Hulk not in their contract or something?

For you children of the 1990s, this Fantastic Four gimmick cover has it all.

Foil wrap, big guns, Sue Storm cleavage (through cut-out "4"), Ben Grimm looking like the Gimp, and more!

I'm including one of these with my next CGC sub.

All of that, and I'll bet that Human Torch jacket has lots of pouches.

"375th anniversary" doesn't sound quite right unless every issue is an anniversary.

February 23-24: Warren, MI at the Macomb Community College!
This is a GREAT show that I have attended for years.  It is a top 3 show in the state of Michigan and while certainly not as big as Motor City, it has more of an "old school" feel with a higher percentage of Comic Vendors.  This will be my first time selling at it, and I know @catrick339 and @Nick's Comics will both also be setup there too.  I have done a lot of business with both guys over the years so please check out their booths as well, great books, great prices, and slightly above average Hawaiian shirts (catrick only).
Jim Steranko, Arvell Jones, Keith Pollard and many more comic book and pop culture creators and celebrities will be in attendance.
@Rich_Henn will be onsite as well for signatures.
There are deals to be had at this show, hope some boardies can attend.
