Didn't figure, Pat. But if ever there was a book that one might have made an exception for, just because it would have been kinda cool to own it, I thought maybe the granddaddy funnybook might have done the trick.

great - I've got a lot of golden age comics-paperbacks-pulps-digests-&-hardbacks that bring me continual pleasure. I consider this PB I got at the end of 2017 a key -was $7.70 delivered

Action Comics #1 for $250 back in 1971 or thereabouts which I figure is equal to $1,500 - $1,600 in today's money.  As a kid with a $5 weekly allowance that was big money at the time that I didn't have.  C'est la vie.

Early 1970's I was shown an Action #1 at Cherokee for $300. Might as well have been 3 million to me at the time...

A friend of mine bought an Action 1 at a small local show in the late 70's for around $150. He later completed the entire run.
