We've examined a bunch of lower grade books in the past week or so, so I thought this one might be fun to discuss:

 

 

[1950's war comics]

Has issues and does not present very well but looks VG structurally ,  i would guess that it received a grade of 3.0

Hello 3J,

You already have the grade. With those tape stains, GD 2.0. GD+ 2.5 is the maximum.

depending on the interior covers, staples, centerfold, tears, whatever. might stretch to a 2.5. might.

tape and amateur repairs could still leave a book certified as a 3.0 but why does it have a Blue Label ? Is that because of the amateur tape repairs or is it something else that was done to the book ? It didn't appear to be a reading copy because the cover is not detached or missing. Pretty easy  to grade this at 2.0 based on all the drama going on the cover.  The back looks pretty outstanding ...doesn't it ? That must have made the difference.
