I got chatty with dude sitting next to me. He was after the ASM books.  Asked him what his max was on #1. He gave me a very high number.  I asked if he knew about the color touch. He didn't.

So we went to the book and I pointed it out to him. He said he looked again and it didn't bleed through.

Oh snap, the X-Men 12 is apparently a double cover, too. Shame I have no way to get up there from NYC. Or money. Hmm, not sure which of those is the bigger blocker...

Inner cover was 5.0/5.5

Ah, Batavia. They have a NY Penn league minor league team, which was affiliated with the Phillies back in the early-mid 90's. My parents had season tickets to the Oneonta Yankees, but we'd hit up some away games, too. Good times.

Have fun, BUTM!

Unless it was a shredded butt-rag, looks like somebody got a deal on the TOS #39. Same for X-Men #1, even if incomplete. Then there's other books, like $75 for ASM #62? Can't imagine it was HG based on the photos.

I was thinking the same thing.  All in on a ToS 39 for $1950?  Even a 2.0 goes for more than that.  Meanwhile I think the ASM 1 went too high ($4,400) with probably color touch and no way higher than a 4.0.
