It depends on what you're sending, but CGC prices based on the value of the graded book, with era sections. What you saw in the video is most likely guys who missed out on 9.8 grades on their slabs for comics from the roughly 90's on. Those need to be 'perfect' to be worth anything. They cost something like $25 I think for CGC to grade, unless they are worth $200+, then they bump you up a tier and charge you more. On the other hand, if you had an Amazing Fantasy 15, it doesn't have to be perfect, but CGC will charge you a percentage of the value because it's in the tens of thousands. I think it's 3% Edited February 10, 2018 by SteppinRazor tv horror

He means it wouldn't exactly matter if it' "rare" in the cost of grading. A high grade IH 181 not rare would cost more to grade than say another book that was rarer but the "value" is less like a same grade nyx3. Higher value doesn't mean rarer and vice versa. Value is value. And sometimes a comic is valuable because it is rare but... this is getting confusing... tv horror
ADAMANTIUM
Ya it's hard to think of same era grade examples. Steppinrazor got it right
