I completely understand your frustration.  I gave one dealer a slight discount like I would any other customer and a couple others I told them it was the price marked on the book.  One guy had about $200 worth of comics and offered me $100 for them. . . . they went back in the boxes . . .

I think I bought three books total (besides some super cheap run fillers that I can get anywhere). One ended up incomplete, but I didn’t notice until I got home. Oh, well.

Awesome!!!  Yes, you wife was VERY excited for string art.  My wife made a killing selling the string art this year!!
