He seems quite personable, and I like they fact that he waved at the end like a contestant  Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? He  has a lot of 70s furniture, ditto, gimme that teak veneer!  And he appears to live his life in chaos to a degree. I like him. I've liked his vid, and may watch more, when I've a spare moment.(thumbsu

as you said the second AHI figure goes for a lot of money especially the Creature from the Black Lagoon I don't have one of them maybe Mike has one).

I wish! The Creature AHI stuff goes for big  bucks, especially if you want them on the card! Same for the '60s Hasbro and SPP Creature stuff.

I see I got a sort of honourable mention on one of Ray's video's concerning the Toy island three set of monsters. He forgot my name (boo hoo) ah well so long as they got a good home that's fine with me and those clear boxes really set the figures off.(worship) watch from the 10:28 mark those three figures used to be mine.:foryou:

Here's some more information from Ray on how rare they are.(thumbsu

Here in Michigan there was a popular horror movie host on the Detroit stations named " Sir Graves Ghastly"

really popular between 1967-1982 , he used to scare me when i was little and we went to my cousins who lived near Detroit and we would always watch his show !!

Sir Graves Ghastly

Lawson Deming as "Sir Graves Ghastly"

Sir Graves Ghastly was a character created by Cleveland-born actor Lawson J. Deming (1913-2007) for the popular television show of the same name.

Sir Graves was a vampire whose persona, look, and exaggerated laugh ("Mwah-ha-ha-ha-haaaaaaaaah!") were intended to parody the cliched portrayal of vampires in horror films of the time. Other characters on the show included Sir Graves' sidekick Baruba, a ghostly apparition known only as The Glob, and a cemetery caretaker named Reel McCoy, who traditionally opened each episode by unearthing a movie reel from what appeared to be a grave. The show followed a consistent format of back-to-back horror films, interspersed with brief sketch comedy pieces featuring the many characters. The program was originally billed as Sir Graves' Big Show, but later became known simply by the character's name.

Sir Graves Ghastly had its longest run Saturday afternoons on WJBK, TV2 in Detroit, from 1967 to 1982: fifteen seasons in all. In the 1970s, Deming marketed the show to Cleveland and Washington, D.C., where it also became a hit, but his popularity in those markets never quite reached that of the Detroit-area audience. The growing popularity of televised sports in the early 1980s, particularly college football, sent Sir Graves into hiatus in November 1982. A management change during this time led to the program being officially cancelled in 1983 before any other shows were produced. As he did while his show was running, Deming continued to do speaking engagements and personal appearances well into the 1990s.

this is an interesting video Maurice !!, he mentioned that he bought them all at one time !! (from you) !!

where did you buy them from ??

I bought them off a market stall here in Belfast and as I told Ray at the time of his interest that it was a miracle that I never opened them, he was destined to have them carded. I'm notorious for opening my figures and such and for some reason I never touched these and put them away, that's why I sold them and Ray gave me a great price so we both won in the end.(thumbsu He does mention the Belfast bit in the Mego museum link..

I love the way he handles each bag he takes out ever so gently, it' as if they are going to fall apart just by touching them you can see the love he has for each and everyone of them.:foryou:

I've watched episode 2 of Ray's videos, (my intention is to watch them in order, call me pernickety but,,,,) I do like the chaos of the presentation, which he sort of apologises for. I like the cat too, who wanted attention, but didn't really want to get up on the table really lol.

The items weren't my kind of stuff, except perhaps Gregory the bat.

I shall persist over the course of time (thumbsu

I came across this on the Blimey! Blog by Lew Stringer. A press cutting from 1954, which is in some respects reports on the UK version of SOTI. What interested me though, was this is the area live in, which doesn't surprise me in the least, as that kind of mentality persists even now. Charles Miles sounds nice(!)
