C'mon... Give me a break. I programmed that into Excel in 2 minutes to make it easier for BlowUpTheMoon to instantly see who won and who lost (and who tied). (He just cuts and pastes from an automatically generated list of participants in regards to winners/losers/ties.)

If people had submitted grades instead of taking their BYES, then no ties would have happened other than real ties.

In the actual brackets, BYES are -20 while people who just didn't submit get ZERO.

You didn't submit grades so you got a -20 score.  That doesn't really matter because you didn't have an opponent this round, and this non-existent entity also didn't submit grades and he got a -20 score too.  Thus the tie.  

It doesn't matter, you move on to the next round.  

Going forward, make sure you submit grades for every round, because you need more points than your opponent, if you want to stay in the contest.

No offense intended. I just have no experience with these kinds of scoring, and was looking to understand what those numbers meant. I was neither complaining nor criticizing, merely asking what I was looking at.

Yep, that sucks. Happened to me two years running - got one of the higher scores and lost. This year I got through with 59.
