thewritestuff
Hello, everyone. Pardon me if this has been asked before, but I was wondering just how thin is Microchamber interleaving paper from Conservation Resources? I thought it was like tissue paper, pretty much transparent (?) I recently made a purchase on eBay for pre-cut paper. It is not transparent, but if you put it on top of a comic with bold colors, you can see the titles and maybe a bit of the brighter colors, but that is all. The paper definitely has the watermark, but one website mentioned that people are selling Microchamber bond paper--which is less expensive-- and telling people it is for comic preservation, although that's not the case. I wasn't aware of this until I made the purchase, and was wondering if anyone has experience with both types of paper. Readcomix
Not sure if this helps, but I Ordered mine direct from Conservation Resources. They will custom-cut. Pix show a close-up on the watermark, and a sheet laid inside an early SA Marvel (1963).
Tony S
It is not as thin as tissue paper. It does feel lighter in weight than standard 20 lb copy paper. Maybe like 16 lb. It also has a softer feel to it than copy paper.
thewritestuff
Hi, Tony. That DOES help, thanks. I think this looks just like the paper I ordered from eBay.
