PGM - Defenders Vol. 1 - #1 0

Hi All

First ever post here, so curious on how the comments will be.

I picked up a full run of defenders vol.1 about 2 years ago, varying grades but the more important issues #1 and #10 were in really nice / similar shape.

Posting Pics of Issue #1 to get an idea from you guys/gals

That's a little tough to judge by the pictures... a scan would certainly help but I'll say a 7.5 (VF-) from what I see here.

Reason for my grade is the thumb "smooch" at the top. Otherwise, it looks like a nice, solid copy!

I think that's a good call, 7.5. If a silver age book, possibly an 8.0. It's also an exceptional copy from the standpoint of quality. Paper, structure, and color/gloss. IMO, if graded 7.5, will bring closer to an 8.5 price than a 7.5 price at auction! It will present much nicer than the typical 7.5 when slabbed.

Thanks for the input. Yes the colour is in very good shape IMO  I should probably invest in a scanner at some point

quite a good survivor for its age i think, considering some of the others in the collection are of a lesser grade.
