Greetings from a fellow Brazilian comic book collector!

Komic Kaze, you have NO idea of how much I liked your post!

I have so many questions, so let's start it.

Do you know any of these famous Brazilian collectors ? Tom Zé, Geraldo Cachola and Kendi Sakamoto, Idalino Rodrigues dos Santos and Antônio José da Silva? Especially Mr Cachola?

How much rare material you have that is not super-heroes related? I ask it because many of the most desirable issues or collections here are not super-heroes related. For instance these collections of Donald Duck or Mickey that are in high 5 or low 6 figures:

https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-769819702-coleco-mickey-do-1-ao-100-excelente-estado-originais-raros-_JM

Plus individual issues are also very expensive:

Do you own one of these ?: gi216101011942.jpg
a "Gibi, Edição Especial De São João" ?. Some other top level comic book collectors regard it as saint grail between Brazilian comic books, since only ten were produced. Since it does not contain any important super-heroes, I am not sure how much it would have been of interest for you.

Do you now the youtube comic book channel called "Pipoca and Nanquim". They did a video on last year on Comic Con Experience, and there was a place were several golden age Brazilian comic books plus a lot of important US issues, like several Amazing Spider-Man 1 (Look at 14:10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyECMNB_fN0). It is related to you?

Do you have some difficulties in reading Brazilian comic books, or are you fully adapted to Portuguese?

If you have far little trouble to read Portuguese, What to do you think about this? https://vejasp.abril.com.br/cidades/o-misterio-das-hqs/

Do you have any of these rare 60s, 70s and 80s Brazilian issues? I think they can challenge a lot of the earlier golden age stuff in terms of rarity!

Finally, what do you think about this issue? I saw it on sell last year! I think it's a strong candidate for being the most rare Brazilian comic book, even one of the most rare in the world!. tico-tico8.jpg

It's a issue n°8 from 1905!

Sorry for so many of them, but I had to ask!

Find these quite interesting. Looked on the Brazilian auction site and see a few early ones available, I would imagine finding them in nice shape would be quite challenging.

Not golden age, but seems to be the correct thread to ask regarding Brazilian editions of books. Anyone have additional information regarding the artist (Baron) on this piece?

And I found something!

He was the art director on Ebal publisher. He was the artist on numbers 7 and 9 on the comic book "O Judoca", that you can see the covers (and also download a digital copy) on this link: http://guiaebal.com/judomaster02.html

I will try to find something else about him.

That's awesome, thanks so much! Look forward to seeing if you turn anything else up! Love knowing more about the artist!
