Detective #199. 1953, Can you imagine any Batman type story involving something silly like a giant vat? Well, here we go again;) The insides of this book are much more exciting than the cover, I added a lot of pictures. 40 pages, Robot Man story, and in Impossible But True “the Girl Became a Witch” kind of a horror story;) There is a date stamp, and creases at the spine, some at the lower right small tears at the upper staple and a tear at the top that goes to the back (about 1.25” total) 1/2” tear right edge and a small piece off at the top edge front. Some light overall creasing. I had it at VG- ( 3.5 ) but I'm going to call it Gd/ VGto be safer. Bin is $95.00

Detective #200 , 1953, 20 on the census. Robot Man story! Cover is completely split with some pieces missing. I tore a small piece off the top of the back putting it back in the bag, the piece is there. Pages are nice. Grade is Fair. Only 1 for sale on eBay, a 4.5 with a bid of $224 on it already. This one is a bit less. Bin is $45.00  sold to Kevin J

Detective #204, 1954, 16 on the census, 2 are restored, not easy to find. Nice color, 40 pages plus the covers (correct) and some tempora paint at the top edge. There are a few small pieces off the top edge. It's an Apparent VG (slight or c-1) bin is $60  sold to M2AK1

Detective #235, 1956, the First Batman, apparently Bruce's father was also a Batman;) there are some long creases. The prices on eBay are very high. Someone is asking $499 for a 4.0 and a book similar to this one sold for $130 recently. I'd say this is a 3.5 (VG-) might be better if the spine roll is fixed, might not.  22 on the census, 1 is restored. Bin here is $125

Nice color, Happy BD on cover, “bondage” cover (Bataan is all tied up;) crease upper right, a small tear (about 1/2” right edge) more creasing lower right, a staple tear at the bottom and a few worm or bug chews inside (see pictures.) staples are dark on the cover, but not at the centerfold. There is a small tear on the back cover, less than 1” a stain on the front and some dirt. There is a tear at the bottom staple , but the book is still attached (barely)  There is a tear at the lower right (about 1/2 " of the first few pages. Pages are really nice and light. Grade is  GD/VG (3.0) . Bin is $175

Me, too...it's so neat. It's why I always loved books that were loved instead of museum pieces...not that there is anything wrong with museums;)

Detective #238, Great color and gloss. The Doors to Disaster. The front looks like a FN/VF or better,  but there are 3 tears on the back Grade is at least a VG+ (4.5) maybe a little higher bin is $75

Detective 245, 1957 Who is the Mystery Man? Read it and find out! Nice color, creasing ans some scuffs. There is a small tear on the right edge and 2 horizontal tears on the spine, less than 1” but they go through the book. I'm guessing the grade at Gd- (1.8) $28  sold to Norrin's Lawyer,
