Detective #247, 1957 ,Nice color, Batman becomes Starman (just for one episode, Robin cures him of course;) There are few few spine tears, about 4” total on the cover. Cover is detached. There is a 1” tear at the bottom of the first wrap. Grade is Gd – Bin is $28  sold to Kevin J

Detective Comics #260, 1958. The Olympic Games of Space. Nice color, creasing and a tear on the back cover. There is only one sale shown on eBay, a Gd- ? Missing a coupon (so it should have been a fair) sold for $34.99 in Feb, none for sale. Last sale on GPA 4 years ago, 16 on the Census, 14 are blue labels. Grade is Gd (2.0) Bin is $39

Detective #263, 1959, The secret of the Fantastic Weapons. Does anyone else think the “professor” on the cover looks a little like Commissioner Gordon? Nice Gloss and color. There are 2 cover spine splits, top and bottom, each less than 1 inch and creasing especially on the bottom right, more on the back. 20 on the Census. Grade is GD/VG. $32

Looks a little like Aunt May to me

Detective #264, 1959. Full page ad for Flash 105. If you grew up in the NY Metro area, you will probably recognize Playland. Since most of the comic writers grew up in the same area, I guess they loved it, too.

There is a date stamp on the left. Great color and gloss, some creasing , it's color breaking at the lower right. There is a very small tear on the back cover at the top, and a crease with a tiny tear on one page margin (see the pictures) There are 18 books on the census, 2 are restored. Grade is VG (4.0) bin is $60  sold to Kevin J

 

I'm leaving the Flash page and the Roller Coaster page because they are just fun.
