What is a reasonable price for an FF 48 in 7.0 ?

I found myself asking the same thing when I was looking for my copy. When I reached out to the guys who really seem to know prices  I was told over and over that the book has always been a high demand key and get it now if you can. It has certainly gone up in value and prices in all the higher grades have been all over the place the past few months. I got stuck buying at the top of the current value. I was a little uncomfortable with that but the demand is there and it's real. It's an essential key. I didn't want to find myself in a situation such as FF #52 by debating and in 6 months it gets out of reach.

Sorry I couldn't help you with the exact price but I'll repeat what I was told. Get it now even with the current price bump !

Not sure if “hot potato” is the right term.  Book was (over)due for a jump considering what happened to the surrounding books over the past few years (45, 46, 52).

It’s the foundation of the MU cosmic stuff.  It’s one of the most important books there is.

I upgraded to a 6.5 last year (slightly ahead of the big jump).  Paid around $650.

Well said. It's red hot, if you can find one in a 7.0 for 1K snatch it for sure, I would. I've been looking for a low grade copy to keep as a reader but haven't been able to find a complete and intact for a reasonable price...I may have missed the window.

I am just wondering what is a fair price for a graded or ungraded FF 48 in 7.0 condition? Checked a few auction sites and prices are all over the place.

If you haven’t seen it already, there’s a 7.0 for sale here

I bought my FF#48 CGC 7.0 this January for $850 when the book started jumping in price. I used to own a FF#48 CGC 9.2 with white pages that I sold the year before and was kicking myself over but could only afford the 7.0 when I went to rebuy the book.
