Replacing GOTG with Eternals and Infinity War with “Story X” seems like it will eventually work... what will be facinating will be seeing what Story X turns out to be..

The idea of a Guardians of the Galaxy Eternals movie seemed an odd choice, and regardless of success they seemed very disconnected from everything that had come before.  And yet, it’s now so apparent that when we look back they must have been an integral part of of the plan to set up and tell the story of Infinity War. “Story X”!

Just get the writers from The Hobbit movies.  They found 9 hours in about 3 pages.
