beside AF 15 n asm 1, asm 14 is the third most popular issue? Specially now with the red goblin appearance

All of the early villain books are popular. I don't know how the dollars fall on high-grade slabs, but I always hear Spidey collectors single out #2 as a favorite issue.

ASM 14 was the first "big" book I ever owned. I got a rough copy when I was about 10 years old. It will always be my favorite Spidey villain "1st".

ASM #8 was always my favourite. But only when I was in the parallel universe in which ASM #8 was the only issue in existence.

I badly want a number 13.  That is really tough to find in decent condition at what I think should be a reasonable price.  It has a double whammy in that the black stripe down the side shows creases badly and the white portion of the cover always seems to be tanned.  That one and number 4 are my two favorites.

4 is my easy favorite early issue, as well.

I was once complete on SA Spidey, but I liquidated; keeping only 1-4, 8, 31-33, annual 1, and some random bronze issues I remember fondly.

but the copy was raw and I didn buy it 5 years ago and till now regrets.

As a youngster (reading them via Masterworks) though, I thought 10 was one of the better stories of those early issues.  Still need to pick one up.

I like all the stories actually. 8's cover always seemed a bit lazy though. And all the copies i owned were slightly grubby - the yellow really accentuated the lack of eye appeal! Only got one pence copy now.
