At some point the post office is to blame.

Good luck winning that case.

I highly recommend these super rigid flash mailers from @Hotflips- https://hotflips.com/product/flash-mailer-boxes-comics-magazine-digest-or-trades-case-100

You can even get them by the pallet!

They said they don't fit in Priority Legal size envelopes.

I don't use them that way, but I think a buddy of mine said he trims the end(overhang) a bit and they fit(I'll double check).  They are super sturdy, I don't think I've ever had any shipping damage in over 2000+ packages shipped with them.

Good to know. I would love to have an alternative to Gemini, but haven't found a good one yet. Maybe I'll check them out at Motor City this weekend.

Check out those cuticles. Jeff could start a sideline as a hand model.

All I can say is Uline S-164.

I have shipped over 300 of them, just wrap bagged boarded comics in a couple plastic grocery bags to cushion them.

Every "comic" mailer I have seen was very "chintzy". The Uline ones are heavy cardboard.

I always get rave reviews on packaging, no extra cardboard required. I can pack and label in about 3 minutes.

Ship up to 3-4 books and keep it under 16oz for 1st class. Usually $3.18

I have never had a single occurrence of damage or complaint.

Also works great as an inner box for a priority box shipment of high end books.

I use these as well. Very sturdy and never had a damaged order but they have been out of stock for awhile. Anyone know where they get them from?

Just stop using them.

If you cant lace the mailer with additional cardboard don't use them. I have had 3 come to my house damaged in the corners where they are weak the last couple of months.
This time it corner dinged 4 out of the 5 comics that were shipped in them.

Please don't come in here and tell me you have shipped 1,000s without issue. These mailers suck unless you reinforce them.

End of rantrant

these are a tad stronger gauge
