interesting ad in Moon Knight (1981) # 13 0

was reading thru the 1981 Moon Knight run. in issue #13, Nov. 1981 (it's getting better. Bill S. And Doug M. are really beginning to cook, which oh yeah, brings me to this other thought: you'd think they would be up to speed by that time with the MK stories in WWBN and the the back up stories in Hulk magazine but the first couple issues of MK were not so good. 

ANYWAYS,

in issue #13 is a box ad from J&S Comics in Red Bank, NJ that is simply a want ad "Buying X-Men in "strict fine or better condition" for the following prices:

94 - $20.00

95 - $10.00

96 - 101 - $6.00 each

102 - 109 - $3.00 each

111- 117 - $2.50 each

118 - 124 - $1.75 each

125 - 130 - $1.25 each

131 - 135 - .75 each

137 - $1.25 each

138 -  .75 each

 

sometimes i forget how x men crazy the world was in 1981. Anyways, though some would find this interesting as I wait for physical thearpy

J&S still exists, but they are no longer in Red Bank, and I am almost certain there have been a few different owners since that ad given the current guys would have been in their teens then. They do a big set-up at shows in the NYC area.
