No, that's a once-in-a-lifetime experience! You're engaged in the final countdown and are well prepared to hit the button again and again for, say, another $2k, and then wtf ... :roflmao:

"...then at night all the men'd come around... and lay their money down..."   "Dammit!"

For a 2mil auction the bids are only $2000 increments? I would have though it would be at LEAST 10-15K increments

+1. I smell a conspiracy. They not happy with just 2M

100K Makes ALOT more sense. I guess CC is trying to squeeze every last bid out. 100K might be to much on top. But another 10k? 30k? Its nothing to sniff at. But still. 2k just seems silly.

Does anyone know if 2K is the max bid increment for CC? I have to think it is. If it hasn't gone up by 2 mil I doubt it ever does.

yes, at this level it's a .1% increase.

Or the equivalent of bidding a $100 book up .10¢ at a time. Can you hear the Heritage auctioneer? "I have $100, do I hear $100.10, now $100.20... $100.20 from anyone?..."

That's comical. I guess its a good thing they don't have a live auctioneer.

I've seen that video before when it was first placed up for viewing.  Just incredible!  The pages look so newsstand fresh, there's a lot to love about that copy.  In my head I was thinking, wow look at him flipping through a $3 million book like it was just like any other comic book.  I probably wouldn't have the cojones to do such a thing had I owned it, fearing that I may tear a page, drop the book, causing more spine creases if any, or all of the above

Yeah, I'd at least want that book on a stable surface before I flipped through it...just in case.  :makepoint:

Wow. How jaded have we become that a 2M sale gets a handfull of comments.  Sure going close to or over 3M — had it happened — would have made this sale a true marker of continued unlimited upper price appreciation (and induced AF15 2017 levels of  hysteria).  Instead we have crickets here, nothing to see, move on gents.
