Brenda Starr #14 (CGC 3.0 with cream to off-white pages) $1795:news: ^^ SOLD per pm.

Classic bondage. Art by the great Jack Kamen. Published March 1948. Just past the 70th anniversary of this iconic cover.

This is one of the nicer cover presentations for a 3.0. There are some very small missing pieces and a couple of small tears along the spine. Other than that, the cover is rather gorgeous for this coveted Brenda Starr. GGA doesn’t get any better than this.

This issue seems to be heating up. A CGC 1.5 with tape on the cover and brittle pages sold for $709 in February this year and two months later sold for $1000.

Every collector needs a copy or two of Brenda Starr #14.

Journey Into Mystery #15 (CGC 6.5 with cream to off-white pages) $925: $850

Story by Paul S. Newman. Cover by Sol Brodsky. Art by Paul Reinman, Vic Carrabotta, Al Luster, Ed Winiarsky and Manny Banks . Published April 1954.

This is such an awesome cover with great stories and artwork inside. I don’t think this is what the couple had in mind when they decided to have a “hot time in the old town tonight”.

JIM #15 was the first issue in the run to do away with the story panels on the left side of the cover. Always thought that technique cheapened the covers. There is no substitute for full cover terror.

This is an extremely hard issue to come by in this grade or higher. There are only 3 in grade and only 2 higher at 7.0 and 8.5.

Another classic PCH that needs to be in your collection.
