RB3 Posted May 28, 2018 Share Posted May 28, 2018 I've been looking on here and cant find if anyone has brought this up but I have a couple of questions about CGC'd art. How do I submit art to be CGC'd? Does it have to be witnessed? What sizes are available? I've seen up to 9x12, but is 11x17 available? I asked my LCS who submits books to CGC but they said they have no idea as to how to submit art. Please let me know if anyone has done this so I can let my LCS know the steps. John E. Posted May 28, 2018 Share Posted May 28, 2018 As far as I know, assuming nothing has changed recently, CGC will slab “witnessed” art, not published art, or art that hasn’t been witnessed. They certainly don’t slab anything that measures 11x17. Even 9x12 seems big to me; I thought their dimensions were smaller, like magazine size. I believe all this information is on their site. The Voord Posted May 28, 2018 Share Posted May 28, 2018 Except for witnessed sketches, which I can see as serving a useful purpose, the slabbing, authentication and grading of regular published artwork is something most of us here (I would imagine) would see as being totally unnecessary.
