Although I was at Heroes last year, I'll be staying West this year and attending the Denver show that's the same weekend.  If anyone is coming to Denver, come visit me at Mike Zeck's table.  We'll be there!  Sorry I won't see friends at Heroes.

Yeah, enjoyed our discussion on the Joes last Heroes.  That's why I love to help Mike out at shows at least once a year, you meet some great people and can talk about comics and comic art all day long.  Hope to meet some other folks in Denver and at the LA Ultimate Comic Art & Collectibles show on July 15th (Zeck won't be there, but Gerhard will be who I also help from time to time).

when you say good for art - are there a lot of art vendors? (new york and san diego both have a lot) or is it mostly artist alley - modern art you are talking about?

There are always vendors, but not always a lot. This doesn't even bother me as most of what the vendors have can be bought online. Anthony is probably the most frequent at Heroes and digging through his portfolio stacks at a show is not that fun, especially when I can just do a search online very easily. The art that I look forward to is from the artists and reps that come out - I always find something to bring home.

Have you been to C2E2? That was pretty impressive when I went.

Yes, a few times but it has been a while since I have gone. Once I discovered Heroes I never felt the need to go back to Chicago or NY

Agreed but be warned, the IP folks can be a bit over the top in their passion and zest for protecting creator Law.  Wearing the Judge Dredd helmets and the giant "No one is above creator law" signs were a bit much last year.

I'll be there. Best comics and art convention around imo. I always find two or three creators whose work I hadn't seen that I really enjoy, and its always great to connect with old friends to boot. Picking up a few pages and moderating a few panels. The usual.
