Golden Age Batman 13

Cover has been taped at the spine and there is tape on the inside holding the cover on. This was a war time stitched book so no staples. Pages are off-white and very fresh.

Has the look of a much higher grade which is GORGEOUS but due to spine I’m giving it a 4.0

Paypal preferred, shipping included with price.

Shipped and insured at the OMG this will sell fast price of $600

I know... :screwy:

You might want to consider that this book MAY have been extracted from a bound volume and taped at spine accordingly, hence no staples.

hm

Anyone with a Batman 13 want to shed some light?

Batman #13 was definitely manufactured with two staples originally, as you can see in the example below.  There are some wartime comics with only one staple in the middle, but only the square bound issues have no staples.  Your copy does appear to be trimmed along the spine as well.

Even on the bottom it's cut off in the blue circle by Robins girly feet

This blue label has a cutoff circle. Actually, many copies have cutoff circles

Gang,

You CAN NOT tell if a book is trimmed comparing artwork. EVER.

Comics vary so much from issue to issue because of large production tolerances that often two copies of the same book will vary either in size, how they were cut, how they were colored, etc.

The only way to tell if most books were trimmed (unless it's an obvious trim job) is by examining the book in hand.

Comparing one book to another is not a viable method.

Yeah, I hate that too. Very patronising.

You're all Juggalos - don't try to deny it.

While I agree with the spirit of your post, in this particular case we can definitely tell that this book HAS been trimmed along the spine because the artwork is gone.  The "N" in No. should simply wrap around the spine no matter how the book was bound and trimmed at the printer.  But it doesn't wrap around, it is gone.
