2563 of my posts.:facepalm:lol

Why was the post count created if not too monitor the amount of posts you have? And if not to gain trust and credibility amongst other board members?

I mean on a subject I'm sooner to listen to someone with 10,000 posts on a board geared to that subject than someone with 26 posts.

Some of the most amusing threads are in the more obscure areas of the boards. The old test threads were a fun breeding ground for nonsense.

to gain trust and credibility I would say that comes from the quality of posts and what you actually contribute to the boards or the hobby in general. people will recognize that and understand your value and trust you.

I agree

My question is

Why is there a post count?

And not just here but on every single boardroom throughout the entire known universerse

And why is there a like button?

Or a retweet button

Or a thumbs up thumbs down.

The internet and board rooms were designed to connect people.

But in some cases it's a haven for opinions, likes, a popularity contest.

Truthful admittance

When I got out of prison I began collecting comics

I felt isolated,so I sought out a comic chatboard to belong to

Am I abrasive, yes

Do I intend harm an insult, occasionally

Do I want to fit in and belong, yes

Do I like this chatboardroom, hell yes

Is my post count padded, evidently

sorry a little confused on this point what do you mean harm an insult?

that's cool that you found something you like and keep going with it. If you really like collecting comics keep diving in and keep learning and share the wealth of knowledge and experience you get from this cool hobby.
