I gave the Joe a 5.5 and the Pep a 1.8.

Would have expected the Pep spine to be completely split before it would get down to 1.5....

How?  That Joe was over 5.0 to only blind people and CGC.  That spine roll and spine crease usually is a killer.

granted, I was surprised to get a 6.0

i thought it was a 5.0 and I didn’t even know about the detached centerfold.

On the Pep I second-guessed my way out of a bullseye. Started with 1.5, then moseyed up to 1.8, then 2.0. I peeked on HA and found many recent examples of worse-looking 2.0 and 2.5 books with the same label note. (Researching other slabs. Didn't I tell other people not to do that?)

I never would have gotten the GI Joe though. Yikes.
