Didn't know if there were any Moench scholars here.

Moench fell out with Jim Shooter and went across to DC to write an excellent run on Batman starting with Batman #360 and Detective Comics #527, both of which were cover dated June 1983.  There's an interview with Moench where he talks about his reasons for quitting here
