Hey guys, just thinking what you though on the grade. Front cover has a date stamp. Inside of back cover has writing on it. Pages are cream to off white.

You think that high, even with the writing on the inside? I was in the 4.0 range.

I would agree with the 5.5 grade estimate.
If a book has interior writing, the kind shown is the type to have... it's unobtrusive to the story and adds a bit of provenance. The date stamp is also allowed in this grade range.

i googled his name and there was some small info on probably his dad....

This book appears to be in decent shape, even with the writing and date stamp. I'm thinking at least a 5.5, possibly higher...

Interesting coincidence?  (Well, I'm kind of finding it interesting anyway)

Charles Emerson must be a common 1st and 2nd moniker if you consider there was a character on Mash called Charles Emerson Winchester 3rd.

Finally got this graded, came back as a 6.0 with a press/clean.

Cool book! I like the history very neatly recorded on the inside back cover!

I'd say 6.0 due to cover wear & writing.
