TALES FROM THE CRYPT #34

TALES FROM THE CRYPT #35
Grade: 6.5 FN +
Price: $400

APR 1953; Cream to off white pages. It's fitting that E.C.'s most versatile artist was assigned cover duties on the most recognizable horror title of all for 18 consecutive issues. It would undoubtedly have been longer but Dr. Wertham (sigh) came along.... Davis' work can also be found on the interior, along with that of Joe Orlando, Jack Kamen, and Graham Ingels. From the Gary Arlington collection, known for bright colors and supple pages. COA included.

VAULT OF HORROR #18
Grade: 6.0 FN
Price: $400

APR 1951; Cream to off white pages. The horror comics produced by EC Comics are arguably the best ever. Graham Ingels and Jack Kamen, and other great artists, illustrated gut-wrenching stories which have influenced every medium using the horror format. This issue has an excellent cover by Johnny Craig. The look of terror on the man's face contrasts nicely with the romantic, unsuspecting features of the woman, as the ghoul rises from the well behind them. From the Gary Arlington collection, known for bright colors and supple pages. COA included.
