I've been thinking about purchasing a signed variant directly from an artist like campbell and some others. Some artists will ship the signed variant to CGC on my behalf. Will this be considered as a yellow label?

I know this is possible for sketch covers, not sure if its possible for signatures. But you might get a better response if you post in https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/23-ask-cgc/

Yes if they fill out the “Artist Agreement” form CGC requires...

I’m not sure if JSC will do that for you though. He tends to defer to aftermarket facilitators for CGC signature items if you wanted something CGC’d from him.

You cannot mail in signed books like store exclusives to CGC for Signature Series.. Campbell chargers $30 per CGC at conventions, and only signs at shows with direct CGC supervision.
