Just that plastic on plastic pressing. Which would help explain why a slightly thicker holder, with a minimal amount of additional room, might fare better. The book isn't harmed, but a buyer not in the know might be put off by the appearance. Having a decent scan pre-slab seems to be a partial solution, anyway. walclark Posted July 7, 2018 Share Posted July 7, 2018 I just got a batch back and the Newton rings were really bad on several of them. It seemed that the issue had died down for a while.
