New Mutants #86 Printing Error Variant? 0

I just noticed my New Mutants #86 has a blob of black ink on the front cover, LRH corner, in a very conspicuous place (see pic).  I looked at said issue for sale on eBay, and found about 1/3 of the books for sale had the same blob.  Is this a recognized printing error, and does it have any bearing on the value of the book?  Thanks

Nice catch, that is interesting.

I found photos of the original art and color proof and it seems the “blob” was meant to cover the “y” for yellow.

The "Y" is in a slightly different spot though

The blob is just a printer plate issue. Something broke, and allowed ink to pool. It's common. There are copies with it, and copies without it.
