Hey, I got my Omega Men 3 signed and sketched by keith giffen and just got it in the mail and want to know what you think and will post the grade provided. This has white pages btw. I’ve taken a ton of pictures and tried to hide them but I guess I am too much of a noob to do so haha.3E94D4FA-165C-4719-9BAD-8F6C28AD6FB3.thumb.jpeg.85a4cc9f0518b5971fc8bceda075bb40.jpeg

Nice SS series and signature looks great (thumbsu ,,,,, is it a CGC 9.6 ??

Hey thanks for the guess! It actually came back as an 8.0 and I wanted to make sure that I wasn't crazy and missing something. They graded it EXTREMELY wrong in my opinion.

This was the grader notes and I tried to take pics as best I could to showcase but its so minimal I was surprised it was dinged so hard.

finger bends left center of back cover, finger bends right center of front cover, soiling right top of front cover, spine stress lines spine

I was getting ready to guess 9.4. I can see that bends, but that shouldn't drop it that low. Is there soiling near the $1.00 that I can't see? Looks like there is a little on the back, but still...I have no idea what this book is worth, but I would think a clean & press would get you a 9.4 at worst.

There is a little bit on the front near the $1.00 but it doesn’t go through thankfully and nothing was mentioned about the back. It’s got white pages and I didn’t see anything else that they didn’t mention. Think I should press and dry clean it?

???   Let me preface this by saying that I know very, very little about comics, or anything else for that matter, and I'm here to learn. That said, even a complete comic hobby bumpkin like me might ask someone proficient in pressing and dry cleaning as to <<if the metallic ink from the signature may be compromised from either process>>. I'm probably way off on some stupid tangent again, just mentioning it, and shouldn't, but that's just part of my being as stupid as I am to even attempt adding to a discussion of things that I know nothing about, the basic concepts of which far escape me!   ???

From the full front cover pic, I see multiple deep, color breaking, spine creases. Pressing can flatten them out but the creases would still be there. From the BC, upper right corner, pic  I can see the dark areas that are residue from the soling mentioned in the notes. You may be able to squeeze an 8.5 out of this but, mostly because of the soling, you are stuck in this range. IMO, not worth the expense to 'maybe' get an 8.5 . Sorry.

Well that makes me even more of a bumpkin because I didn't even think to ask that question! :) I appreciate the thought though, I think I am going to just keep it as is and enjoy it. This isn't something that I want to sell and I think it will still display beautifully, I just hope I don't annoy myself by looking at the defects the whole time. Thanks!

I appreciate the information. I have never gotten my comics pressed and/ or dry cleaned so I am not sure if its worth it and I think you may be right with trying to squeeze only a half grade more out of it. I'll just display it and try to keep my eyes off the creases and soiling lol. Thanks for the info!
