I spent many a happy Saturday or Sunday with these characters on the television and my Papa.I think he wanted to be Clint

Wouldn't it be something if it was his job before being a film maker?

I tried looking up the illustrator, but everything redirects to the director.  It would have been an awesome transition!

Would have been amazing. On looking it up after it was mentioned,I realized he did the art in another book I loved,a hand-me-down from my mom's brothers

I've started picking up the odd fifties or sixties illustrated childrens books if they are in nice shape in my travels, thrifting.A lot of whimsy in them, and luckily it's not very often they are in nice shape.I have enough stuff, almost lol

Not gold,I know,but it's pretty!

I know some consider this silver, but fifteen cents is just bronze to me

PS KJack,I did look up those books.DrSuess branded!I'm a little surprised I never came scross them before.I really like the cover to Ann Can Fly.

COOL! I LOVE the spider-whompers! There's none above I wouldn't happily have in my collection. There are a few Canadian whites like listed above,Colossal comics I'd love to own one day also.

Here's some soothing fall foliage.Beauty before the (quite beautiful snow)cold!
