And speaking of Flash Thompson's apartment in Far Rockaway, Ross revisits it in Amazing Spider-Man 176 (see all things return to the original thread topic).  Ross does a good job of matching Flash's apartment building in ASM 176 and 177 to what he drew in ASM 138.  There were some differences though, namely how the boardwalk seemed to be on all sides of the building, lol.

Here, Tony DeZuniga handles the inking chores (this is up for auction on Heritage if anyone has the coins).  I don't enjoy his inks on Andru as much as the other inkers teamed with Ross though.  The first panel Goblin's face is splendidly evil .

Oh, and poor Flash, unlike Dua Lipa, is not Levitating, bwa ha ha ha.   :kidaround:

This guy sold for $26,400.  Not too shabby.

I couldn't resist buying this in the week, firstly because it's something to do in lockdown, secondly because I'd never seen it before and thirdly because I recognised the image immediately as an Andru swipe:

At first I thought it was an amended this...

...and then remembered it was an actual this:

Just a little kink in the nose there, it seems:

I'll let you know when I've finished it. Its got a 180 pieces, so it might take me a year or two...

Nice Steve.  I've never seen that puzzle.  I love stuff like this.  Does it have a year when it was produced on the box?

It doesn't Reggie, no, not on the box but it is Whitman #7718 and when you Googleate that you get examples saying 1978 - but with different images:

Mine is the only one I can find so far with that particular image, which is odd.

The other too are Andru swipes too - I recognise both (top one when he makes the Spidey parachute and bottom one when he's in front of the Museum, no? I'll let you look them up and weave your illustrative comparison magic )

Ouch, my employer just blocked my comic reference site, so having access to ASM comic panels just got harder.

That bottom puzzle is from Giant Size Spider-Man #4, with Spidey's head reworked.

And the flying Spider-Man is from ASM 158, as you note.  Again the head has been repositioned.

My sister (The Jigsaw Queen) challenged me to do it in an hour. I took two, but in my defence I did spend half an hour in the middle chasing a dementia patient down the road :tonofbricks:

Thanks Mark. Quite enjoyed doing it as it goes. I might have to look out for the other ones now.

Of the three puzzles that you showed, you definitely bought the best one.

I bought these three back in 1974 (photos from the web, I got rid of mine a few years back) at the toy store.  I want to say all three were shrink wrapped together as a bundle, but that's really stretching my memory.

I must have loved them, because some of the pieces broke off from wear.   The Spider-Man Thor one is odd, because all it has for a villain is Dr. Ock's tentacles.

I saw that Ock one while I was searching. The tentacle's about a thousand foot long isn't it

It never made sense to me, even as a 7 year old, willing to suspend nearly all disbelief.

Spidey is in space, menaced by billion-mile long Octopus tentacles, coming off some distant planet.
