I've been told Hong Kong is an ideal, low tax (zero tax on capital gains) offshore jurisdiction for just such types of transactions.

For each piece of art purchased by the fund just make up 100 certificates. Then each certificate could be traded at whatever value two parties agree is 1/100th of the value of said page. 

 

Of course the certificates should all be verified by a  "thrid party authentciator"!    I hear DC will do this almost overnight if the piece if legit.
