NoMan
TTA 27 is the most important Marvel book. Period. If you have one you'll never lose money when you sell it, no matter what you payed for it. There have been studies at all the major universities verifying this. KirbyJack
Sweet Lou 14
Has the definitive story been told of exactly how and why Marvel (Stan Lee, whoever) decided to turn one of their throw-away monster of the month stories into a super-hero? Although TTA #27 was published two months after FF #1, I think it's safe to say that there was no forethought given to the possibility that "the Man in the Ant Hill" was really a super-hero tryout. TTA #35 was published eight months later -- which is four months after Hulk #1 and just one month after AF #15 and JIM #83 -- so I wonder when in that amazing period of creativity the decision was made to make a super-hero out of Hank Pym, and whether any other PHM material was given serious consideration as part of that process. Don’t know much behind the scenes of the production of TTA 27. Wish I did.

DC already had the Atom, first appearing in the October 1961 issue of Showcase. You know how ideas made their way around back then between the big two. Popular Post KirbyJack
More stuff, if not quite as drool inducing. You will note the inclusion of an Astonish 27, however. namisgr, Dave2739, Readcomix and 3 others
