So I was told to post in here with better pictures so here they are. What do you guys think? There is a dent that runs parallel to the spine. It's doesn't in my opinion break color and also believe can be pressed. Small crease on the spine it atleast 1/8 inch or less not really noticeable unless you try to look for it. What do you guys think? Think this was kept unbelievably good and i won't touch it unless I have gloves on. Feedback is 15331673448721418637379.jpg.26954ddc58e4733ff19a12582b550c58.thumb.jpg.c94b6bfb41912ebeb1fe1d785771c9d8.jpggreatly appreciated thank you. Also if you look you can see red print on each page. Idk if that affects anything?

Thank you. You think I could press out the slight spine roll? Also, cgc allows minor defects. That spine tick you're talking about. Which noticed also. It is less then 1/8 forsure. You think it could 9.8? Like i said wouldn't be upset with 9.6

The roll can certainly be pressed out. The tick looks like it breaks color. In my expereience, CGC tends to grade those harshly and would probably automatically make it a 9.6. A 9.8 is supposed to be allowed 2 errors that aren't easily noticed, but they have their own grading system that isn't published. I just had 6 brand new, unread books graded. 4 came back as 9.8, 2 were 9.6. 4 of them were ASM #800 with the bindery tear in the lower left corner. 2 9.8's, 2 9.6's. Not sure what kept the 9.6 from being 9.8.

Super zoomed in from this picture. Think this is the tick everyone is talking about. Besides this and slight spine roll anyone see anything? These were 2 i thought were the biggest imperfection and that i noticed

This is closest I could get to it. Is that a tear or staple mark?

Here's the problem as I see it. That staple is starting to tear at the book. You press the book to remove the spine roll and it will cause more stress at that staple, possibly tearing it more. Nice book, I would submit it as is and accept the 9.6. The spine roll is not bad, they may let it slide and you could get a 9.8 .

That's it. They are hammering those right now from what I've seen. I'd listen to Bob since there is that staple issue and send it as-is. Great looking book though!
